Manifesto

We embark on an epic road trip and theatrical journey through the dramatic physical and  emotional landscapes of South America.  We experience this through the work and minds of specific artists from Bolivia, Colombia, Peru, Brazil and Venezuela.  The documentary will propose themes of contemporary resonance with the current social political unrest, and offers a peaceful example of conflict resolution in today’s challenging social and political crises. It presents a way that is both beautiful and provocative, as opposed to violent and often  unproductive. This film aims to be personal, artistic, metaphorical and theatrically filmed journey of the power of theater and performance in dealing with extremely challenging political and social crises in a peaceful way. Through their eyes and minds we will experience their daily lives, gain insight to the practical and inner workings of the theater, and see how the lives of the local people are reflected in their art. Each presents an extremely different theatrical expression unified by a common humanitarian and revolutionary cause and experience.
